Looe writer Samie Sands, the author of the acclaimed AM13 series of books, will be joining us in the Guildhall after Horrible Science to talk about surviving the zombie apocalypse, and to read from some of her short stories.
With cracking, multi-dimensional plots, and role model characters that kids will love, Samie's books make exciting and compelling reading to our younger readers. We're looking forward to her telling us all the secrets to avoid the AM13 virus and survive the upcoming zombie apocalypse! |
Magic spells at the Guildhall
|
We'll be pushing our magical theme to its limits on Sunday, with a wordy workshop all about spells and magic - ideal for the younger festival-goer. With real magicians doing real(ish) magic, this is sure to be an entertaining and exciting session. Let's see what spells your little ones can dream up, and let their imaginations take flight on our magical aternoon. |
Children's stories with Ann Widdecombe
|
To round off our children's entertainment and activities for the festival, we're delighted to have Strictly Come Dancing star, author and politician Ann Widdecombe join us to read some children's stories.
No stranger to public speaking, Ann will bring the stories to life with her trademark humour and sense of fun. It's not very often you get your children's stories read to you by an ex-Home Secretary, so why not come along and have a half hour of fun and tall tales from one of Britain's most outspoken politicians. |
